Founded in 1995 by Pierre-André MARTEL, CARAVELLE is an industrial group that specializes in turning around loss-making or underperforming businesses.

As a turnaround specialist, CARAVELLE brings both the management expertise and the financial resources necessary to put companies back on a profitable growth track. Having successfully turned around all of the 15 ailing businesses it has so far acquired, CARAVELLE enjoys a unique track record in France.

Arcole Industries is the entity that acquires these distressed companies.

As a diversified Group, CARAVELLE is built around some of the businesses it has taken over, all of them in the “Business-to-Business” sector:  pharmaceutical, industrial vehicles, hydraulic vehicle equipment, and information technology industries.
Based in Paris, CARAVELLE is a French private “société anonyme” company, with family-owned equity.

CARAVELLE is not an investment fund: the equity it invests is owned by the Group, thus making it possible to manage the companies on a long-term perspective, with no obligation to sell.
